Marjorie Elaine Platt Bernreuther, 90, of Almond, passed away peacefully in her home on November 23, 2017. She was born in Corning, NY to George Frederick and Viva Lovell Platt.



Marjorie earned a Bachelor of Science in Home Education at the New York State College at Buffalo in 1949 and wed Glenn W. Bernreuther on June 15, 1949.



Marjorie was a member of several local clubs, she taught home economics at Canisteo Central School, and was a member of the Almond Union of Churches. She enjoyed music, traveling and gardening.



Marjorie was predeceased by her parents, a brother and sister, her husband, and a granddaughter.



She is survived by her five children; Beth (Donald) Woodworth of New York State, Elaine Blackmer of Colorado, Ann (Mark) Lewis of New York State, David Bernreuther of Pennsylvania and Carol (Wesley) Fort of Georgia, twelve grandchildren; Mathew (Paula) Woodworth of S. Carolina, Jennifer Woodworth of NYS, Brady (April) Blackmer of Colorado, Callie Blackmer of Colorado, Clarissa Blackmer of Colorado, Scott Lewis of Oregon, John Lewis of Colorado, Aaron Bernreuther of Missouri, Bryan (Daria) Bernreuther of California, Daniel Bernreuther of Pennsylvania, Sami Fort of Georgia and Jack Fort of Georgia, as well as several cousins and great-grandchildren.

Family and friends are cordially invited to attend Marjorie's celebration of life on Saturday June 30th at 10AM at the Almond Union Church, Almond, NY. Burial was in Allegany Cemetery.
