Marjorie E. Ellis age 73 of Grand Street passed away peacefully at home on Saturday (January 27, 2024).
She was born in Bath, NY on March 16, 1950 the daugther of Robert Nichols and Martha Norton Nichols, but was raised by her grandparents Ivan and Nellie Nichols, and was a lifelong area Steuben County resident. She was a home health aide and last worked for Merryville in Howard, New York. Marjorie enjoyed crocheting, needlework and watching wrestling.
She was predeceased by her grandparents, her parents, an infant daughter Kelly Partridge, her 2 husbands Edward Partridge and James Ellis, her 2 sisters Charlotte Seeley and Nelda Dolph, and a grandson Dustin Burleson.
She is survived by her daughter Jennifer (Charles) Torrence of Hornell, her grandson Kyle Orr of Hornell, her brother John Nichols of WA, 5 sisters Betty Nichols of Hornell, Anna (Edward) Taylor of Corning, Diane (Percy) Shaw of Campbell, Laura (Pete) Hogan of Corning, Jeanette (LeRoy) Burrows of Elmira, her brothers in law Mike Seeley and Rick Dolph, and many nieces and nephews.
The family will be present to receive friends on Friday (February 9, 2024) from 11am-1pm at the Bender-Brown & Powers Funeral Home 354 Canisteo Street in Hornell, where funeral services will be held at 1:00pm with Rev. Lenny Fuller officiating.
