Marion Schrader Willey,beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother formerly of
Duane Street,passed away Tuesday (September25, 2007) at McAuley Manor in North Hornell. She was 97 years old.
Born in Wayland , June 21, 1910, the daughter of John and Blanche Waring Schrader ,she had resided in the Hornell area since about 1937. She was a graduate of Wayland High School, and the Rochester City Normal School. She wasemployed as a substitute teacher in the Hornell School District for 18years. Marionwas a member of Our Lady Of The Valley Parish and a communicant of St. IgnatiusLoyola Church in Hornell.
On June 9,1934, she married Karl Willey of Hornell who predeceased her in1979. She was also predeceased by her sister, Dorothea Schrader Lindsey ofWayland.
She is survived by one daughter: Linda (Robert) Cole of Canisteo, one son: Cliff(Joan) Willey of Annapolis, Maryland, 10grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildrenand several nieces and nephews.
The family will be presenton Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM to receive friends at the Bender- Brown& Powers Funeral Home, 354 Canisteo Street in Hornell where the rosary willbe recited on Thursday at 3:45 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will becelebrated at St. Ignatius Loyola Church on Friday at 11 AM.Burial will follow in St Mary'sCemetery, Town Of Fremont.
