On April 21, 2024, Marion Friend (nee Nesbit) passed away at the age of 96, in Culver City, CA. Marion was born in Hornell, NY to Laura and Thomas Nesbit. She moved to Baltimore, MD with her family at the beginning of WWII. During her time in Baltimore, she met and married the love of her life, her beloved Jimmy. She and Jimmy moved to Culver City, CA in the early 1950’s. She remained in Culver City until her death in April 2024.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband James (Jimmy) Friend, special friend Paul Trobak
and siblings Thomas Grant Nesbit, Rosamond Grace Reynolds and Lionel Nesbit. Loving Mother of Thomas James Friend (Carolyn), Gail Dawn Cadman (Michael) and Diana Friend Martin (Ben). She is survived by grandchildren Ethan James Friend, Caitlyn Elizabeth DiPietro, Colin Michael Cadman,
Cara Cadman Bresnahan, and Cassidy James Martin. She is also survived by her niece Sharon Crum and numerous great nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to attend a graveside service on Saturday June 8, 2024 at Woodlawn Cemetery in Canisteo at 2 PM.
The family is being assisted by Brown & Powers Funeral Home of Canisteo.
