Marion E. (Niles) Dickinson, 80, of Lancaster, PA., went home to be with her Lord after a short illness on Wednesday (July 21, 2010) at Calvary Fellowship Homes where she had resided for 3 months. She was born in Elmira, the daughter of the late James and Bertha Niles. Marion graduated from Elmira Free Academy and married Richard E. Dickinson on July 28, 1950. In 1956, they moved from Elmira to Canisteo, where they raised their family. Marion then lived in Hornell after the passing of her husband in 1977. In 2007, she moved to the Lancaster area near her daughter, Cheryl.



She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, her sister, Pauline Smith, and her brother, Lyle Niles.



She is survived by 2 daughters, Cheryl (Michael) Price of Washington Boro, PA., Barbara (Glenn) Leaman of Hornell, 1 brother, James (Edith) Niles of Clawson, MI.,3 grandchildren, Michael (Robin) Price of Prospect, PA., Scott Price of Mountville, PA., and Jenna Leaman of Hornell; a great grandson, Cory Grimm of Lititz, PA.; a sister-in-Law, Connie Niles of Yucca Valley, California, several nieces and nephews.



Marion was a homemaker and a member of the Hillside Baptist Church(formerly Southside Baptist) where she had served as a Sunday School teacher along with other activities there for many years. Her interests included reading, doing crossword puzzles, country music and answering questions on game shows.

Family and friends are invited to a Memorial Service in her honor on Saturday (July 24, 2010) at 2PM at the Hillside Baptist Church, 805 County Route 66, Hornell with Pastor George Bailey officiating. There will be a dinner at the church for family and friends following the service. A private graveside service will be held at the family's convenience.
