Marilyn J Day, 66, of 3459 Karr Valley Road, passed away peacefully Sunday (March 27, 2011) at the Wellsville Manor.
Born in Buffalo, June 21, 1944, the daughter of Edward and Gladys Arthurs Dyke, she had resided in the area most of her life. Marilyn had worked various jobs including restaurants, Bed and Breakfasts, and house cleaning for many people. Her hobbies included bowling, dancing, animals, country music, gardening, shopping, antiques, collecting dishes, watching TV, and was a huge Buffalo Bills fan. Marilyn will be remembered for her sense of humor, and her ability to tell you the truth no matter what. She also enjoyed the small things in life, enjoying the simplest of things we take for granted.
She was predeceased by her parents, and a brother Frederick Dyke.
She is survived by her husband Richard Day, a son Chuck (Rochelle) Day of TX, daughters Janet (Gary) Cockerham of TX, Kelly (Gordon) Curley of Rochester, Carolyn (Don) Day-Billings of Wellsville, grandchildren Jordan, Patrick, Nathaniel, Coday, Randy, Bryant, Ethan, Sydney and Megan, and great grandchild Hayden, special nephew Greg Jahnke and his children Heather, Lauren and Nicholette, mother in law Harriett Day of West Almond, 2 sisters Beverly Young, of Hume, Barbara Cagle of Salem NJ, 2 brothers James Dyke of Buffalo, and William Dyke of Buffalo.

The family will be present 2-4 & 7-9 PM Friday, at the Brown & Powers Funeral Home, 101 West Ave., Angelica, where Funeral services will be held on Saturday, at 11:00 AM, with the Rev. Marc Chamberlain officiating.
