Marilyn H. Borden, 80, of Hornell St., passed away Friday (March 1, 2013) at her home.
Born in Hornell, December 18, 1932, the daughter of Francis and Marion (Powers) Crowe, she had resided in Hornell most of her life. Marilyn was a beautician before working and retiring from Phillips Lighting in Bath. She was a member of Our Lady of the Valley Parish and a Communicant of St. Ann's Church. Marilyn was known as a very friendly person and enjoyed crafts, gardening and especially flowers.
In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Neal Borden in 1971 and one brother, Jake Crowe in 1973.
She is survived by her sister, Patricia (Wayne) McAllister of Hornell, Niece, Beth (Craig) Remchuk of Hornell; nephew, Daniel McAllister of Alaska, Niece Dawn McAllister and family of Dansville, niece Kathy (John) Walker of WI, Susan (Scott) Wood of Hornell, great niece Zowe and great nephew Tristan, two cousins, Joe Kelleher and Sue Phillips-Bey, special friends Bonnie (Gene) Matacale, Dorentha (John) Cwynar and Sue Edington, several nieces and nephews.

The family will be present to receive friends from 2Pm until 4Pm on Wednesday (March 6, 2013), at the Bender - Brown & Powers Funeral Home, 354 Canisteo St, Hornell. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday (March 7, 2013) at 10Am at St. Ann's Church in Hornell. Burial will be in Rural Cemetery.
