Margaret R. Klees,87, of
480 Maple City Drive,passed away Saturday (February 5, 2005) at the Hornell Gardensafter a long illness.
Born in Hornell, December 14, 1917, the daughter of Hobartand J. Mae France, she had resided in Hornell all her life.Margaret was a graduate of Hornell High School, and hadretired as a cashier from the former ACME Markets in Hornell after 25 yearsservice. She was a devout member of the former Spencer United Methodist Church and had served aschurch secretary for several years in addition to teachingSunday School and serving as a lay speaker.
She was predeceased byher husband, Donald E. Klees in 1943, hersisters Eilene Lehman and Helen Buchholz, an infant brother Edward, as well as her brothers Douglas and CharlesFrance.

She is survived by one daughter: Kathleen Silsby of Hornell, one son:Donald Klees of Hornell, 4 grandchildren; Catherine Winant,Judith (Craig) Presley, Gabe Silsby all of Virginia, and James (Kyong) Silsby of the Neatherlands, 7 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren,Nieces & nephews.
A private family visitation was held at the Bender-Brown& Powers Funeral Home,
354 Canisteo St., Hornell.A public memorial service will be held at a time to be announced.
