Margaret M. Goodnoe, 80,formerly of
Main Street- Greenwood,passed away Tuesday (September 18, 2007) at theSteuben County Health Care Facility in Bath.
Born in East Rochester, October 26, 1926, the daughter of Louis and Gertrude Murphy Pasquae, she had resided in this area since about1950. She had served as chaplain for theLadies Auxiliary of the Canisteo American Legion Post, and had attended St.Mary's Church in Rexville and St. JoachimsChurch in Canisteo .
She was predeceased by her son , Fred Fraser her husband, Howard Goodnoe, and 2 sisters, Elizabeth Kane and Marion Binder.
She is survived by 3 daughters, Susan Jackson of Virginia, Bette (Don) Groves of Florida and Trudy (David) Morgan ofCanisteo, 4 sons, Dan (Carole) Fraser of Wyoming, Bill ( Elizabeth) Fraser of Andover, John Sherner of West Bingham, PA., and Leon (Stacey) White ofGreenwood, 23 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
The family will be present to receive friends from 2-4 & 7-9 PMTuesday, September 25, 2007, at the Brown & Powers Funeral Home, 6 SpruceSt., Canisteo where funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 AM, Rev. DanielPickering officiating. Burial will be in Bath National Cemetery.
