Margaret J. Gleason, 68, of Feathers Creek Rd., passed away Friday (March 11, 2016) at the Wellsville Manor, surrounded by her family.



Born in North Hornell, September 4, 1947, the daughter of Carl and Doris (Lorow) Collmer, she was a lifelong area resident. In her early years she worked at the Friendship Foundry and then at Jones Memorial Hospital. Margaret enjoyed bingo, the lottery, Chinese auctions, but most of all her family, especially her great grandchildren and was a mother and grandmother to many.



In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Herbert Gleason in 2012 and was married to on December 21, 1963, one brother, John Collmer and one sister, Thelma Stephens, niece, Lorie Stephens.



She is survived by 2 daughters Arlene (Ben) McCaslin of Belmont and Robbin Gleason of Wellsville, son Donluray Gleason of Belmont, 4 grandchildren Chad (Amanda) McCaslin of Belmont, Rachel McCaslin of Belmont, Dustin Gleason of Belmont and Wyatt Gleason of Belmont , 2 great grandchildren Rylee and Henry McCaslin of Belmont, brothers, William Collmer, James (Ruth) Collmer, Michael Collmer, Timothy Collmer, and Mark Collmer, sisters, Arlene Collmer, Ruth (Alan) Lewis, Diane Costello, Sara (Bryon) Shove, and Janice (Robert) Brinks, special friends, Katrina Gowdy and Jennie Baker.

The family will be present to receive friends on Tuesday (March, 15, 2016) from 5-7Pm, at the Brown & Powers Funeral Home, 101 West Ave. Angelica. Funeral services will follow calling hours at 7Pm at the funeral home with Rev. Marc Chamberlain, officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hills Cemetery.



Friends may make memorial contributions to the Angelica Rescue Squad, or to the ARC of Allegany County.
