Margaret J. "Peg" Carson, 67, of Davenport St., passed away Thursday (January 27, 2011) at home.
Born in Wellsville, September 8, 1943 the daughter of Elver and Marian (Taylor) Stephens, she had resided in Hornell all her life. Peg was a graduate of the Hornell High School class of 1961 and worked at the snack bar at the former Woolworths store in Hornell. She also worked for the Hornell Walmart, retiring in 2006. Peg was the first member of the Woman's 600 club of Hornell and loved going to the casino, bowling, computer games, and watching her children's as well as her grand children's sporting events.
She was predeceased by her parents as well as her husband Delmar (Kit) Carson in 1994, one sister-in-law, Margery Stephens, one brother-in-law, Robert Adams.
She is survived by four daughters, Christine (David) Spencer of Hornell, Kathleen (Scott) Woodworth of Hornell, Michelle (Matt) Ormsby of Hornell and Eva (Ray Hoffman) Carson of Hornell, one son, Stephen (Christine) Carson of Hornell, two step daughters, Melodie (Ron) Taylor and Debbie Westervelt, six step sons Richard (Mary Ann) Carson, Delmar J. (Barbara) Carson, John (Katie) Carson, William Carson, Mike (Jennie) Carson and Rod Carson, 15 grandchildren, two brothers, Kenneth Stephens of Hornell and Gerald (Karen) Stephens of FL, one sister, Judith Adams of Hornell, four special friends, Cathy (Joel) Gilman, Heidi Margeson and Jeni Cook, several nieces and nephews.
