Marcia Ann Dolores Lawton, 50, of Cream Hill Road, passed away Monday (November 13, 2017) at the Hornell Gardens following a long battle with many health issues.
Born in Warsaw, NY, September 12, 1967, the daughter of Robert L. and Shirley Shafer Lawton, she had resided most of her life in the Dansville and Hornell area. She had been employed as a Certified Nurse's Assistant at the former Mercy Care in North Hornell, and later at the Hornell Gardens. She was forced to retire after being diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2002.
Marcy enjoyed bird watching, especially hummingbirds, flower gardening and watching chipmunks.
She was predeceased by her father.
She is survived by her mother; Shirley Thomas of Perry, her sister; Mona Lawton-Yott (Robert) of Bath and her brother, Lance (Chris) Lawton of Perry, her long time companion; Charles Thomas and his children; Sandra (Brad) Geffers, Corrine Simpson, Patricia Thomas, Debra Spencer and Ronald Thomas as well as 13 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews; Crystal Degraff, Tristen Lawton and Kyle Lawton, Derek (Deanna) Torpey, Chelsey (James) Vacanti, Cody Torpey and Marissa Yott.
