Lyle L Brands,85, of OAKHILL Rd, passed away Suddenly, Thursday (April 7, 2005) at his home.
Born in Scio, NY, December 16, 1919, the son ofMarvin and Vida Clark Brands, Lyle wasa life long resident of the Hornell and Arkport Area.
He was a graduate of Hornell High School.
Lyle served his country during WW2 in the armored divisionof the US Army.
He retired from Air Pre heater in Wellsville as a draftsmanin the engineering dept.
Lyle was a member ofthe Hornell American Legion and member and past president of the ArkportExchange Club. He will always be remembered for his love to his family.
On November26 1966 he married the former Marie Howe.
He was predeceased by one sister: Alda Wheeler and one brother Leland Brands.
He is survived by hiswife Marie , one daughter, Cynthia Crouch of Syracuse, his brother andsister in Laws : Jack (Joyce ) Howe of Arkport , Duane (Carol) Howe of Fla.,Kenneth (Mary) Howe of Arkport , GeorgeHoeffner of Arkport, Raymond and Mary Lou (Howe) McHale of Hornell and severalneces nephews and cousins
