Luis A. Munoz, 89, formerlyof North Hornellpassed away Monday (June 18,2007) at the Franklin Rehabilitation Centerin New York City.
Born in Bogata, Columbia, March 22, 1918, the son of Wenserladoand Aurora Munoz, he had resided in North Hornellfrom 1992 until 1996 when he returned to NewYork City. Hewas employed as a superintendent ofbuildings and grounds as well as abridge painter in Flushing,NY. Luis will be remembered as a mechanic,and one who was good at repairinganything.
He was predeceased by his wife, CarlinaDeMunoz in 2005, his son-in-law, Dr. S.H.Gopinatha Rao in 2006, andhis grandson S.G. Hemanth "Bob" Raoin 2003.
He is survived by hisdaughter, Gladys Rao of NorthHornell, 1 brother- Carlos Munoz of LongIsland, 4 grandchildren, S.G. Goverdhan"Dan" (Heather) Rao, S.G.Anjali(Kevin) Reagey,S.G. Sunil (Jessica) Rao, and Janaki Rao, 5 greatgrandchildren, several nieces & nephews.
The family will be present to receive friends from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM Saturday atthe Robertson Funeral Home,
354Canisteo St, Hornell where funeral services willbe held following calling hours at 1:00 PM, Rev. John Princeofficiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Almond.
