Lucy A. Foster, 71, of
6484 Foster Lane, passed away peacefully aftera long illness, surrounded by her loving family, Wednesday (January 23, 2008) at St. James Hospital.
Born in Lanesboro,PA, November 4, 1936, a daughter of Harry and MildredBarnhart Parmelee, she was a life long resident ofthe Hornell area.
On July27, 1954 she married John Foster Sr.
Lucy had beenemployed for the former Bethesda Hospital and retired asmanager for Home Video after 21 years.
Lucy enjoyed reading, Watching sports, going shopping at Wal Mart and Wegmans andespecially enjoyed her children, grand and great grand children
She was predeceased by her parents, 2 sisters, Kay Dunning, andMarion Palmer, a brother, Eugene Parmelee, and herGreat Grand son, Dokata Brace.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, John Foster Sr. onedaughter: Deb (Jeff) Feil of Florida, four sons: John(Brenda) Foster Jr. of Hornell, William (Pat) Foster of PA., Gary "Spud" (Kathy) Foster, of Hornell, David (Pauline)Foster, of Hornell, one sister: Marie Dugo of Hornell. Lucy also received great support over thelast 21 years from her friend Marlene Teed.
10 Grandchildren John III, Vanessa, Rachelle, Tiffini, Chelsea, Melissa, Harvey, Allison, Dana, and DavidII,
6 Great Grandchildren:John IV, Storm, Tyler,Parker, Harland, and Russell.
At Lucy's request there will be no public calling hours orfuneral service.
Private family services will be held Friday with Rev. DudleyJenkins officiating, burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery Canisteo.
