Linda Marie Pierce, 71 of East Academy Street, passed away Wednesday Oct. 2, 2024, at her home
Born in Hornell, September 16, 1953, she was the daughter of LeRoy and Loretta Bradford Burgess. She had resided all her life in Canisteo. She had been employed for 15 years at TTA in Hornell. Linda was many things to many people. A loving spouse, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great great grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her family, crocheting, making blankets, building puzzles, and playing games. She also enjoyed clowns, arts and crafts, and just hanging around with a cup of coffee talking with those she loved.
She was predeceased by her parents.
Surviving are her long time companion, Ronny Freeland of Canisteo, her daughter, Michelle Pierce of Honeoye, her sons, Richard Pierce of Virginia and Ronny (Nicole) Freeland of Dryden, her sister, Jeanne (Thomas Sr.) Davis of Canisteo, and her brother, Richard Burgess of Hartsville, 4 grandchildren, Zachary Gerbes, Ryan Pierce, Hudson Freeland, and Rhett Freelend, 2 great grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday October 10,2024 from 10 AM until 12:00 Noon at the Brown & Powers Funeral Home 6 Spruce Street in Canisteo where a Memorial Service will follow calling hours at Noon. Burial will follow at Rural Cemetery in Hornell.
