Linda L. Burdick, 70, of 480 Maple City Drive, passed away peacefully with her husband by her side on Friday (November 13, 2015) at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester.
Born in Hornell, May 12, 1945, the daughter of Richard and Phyllis Fletcher McManus, she was a graduate of Hornell High School and had resided in California for 37 years before returning to Hornell in 2012. Linda and her husband Anson, also had refurbished and built several Baptist Churches in California, and many other states, and were also missionaries.
Linda was a member of the former Southside Baptist Church in Hornell and had attended Hillside Baptist Church in Hornell.
She was predeceased by her parents
She is survived by her husband, Anson Burdick of Hornell to whom she was married on June 22, 1963, her son, James Burdick of Minnesota. Two sisters, Doris Werth of Silver Creek and Laurie Thomas of Arizona, two brothers, Donald (Sue) McManus of Green Island, and James McManus of Sparks, Nevada. One grandson, Nathan Burdick of Minnesota, as well as cousins, nieces and nephews.

The family will be present to receive friends at the Bender - Brown & Powers Funeral Home, 354 Canisteo St, Hornell on Thursday (Nov. 19th) from 7-9 PM. Funeral services will be held on Friday (Nov. 20th) at 11 AM at the Hillside Baptist Church, Webbs Crossing Road in Hornell. Pastor Craig Brittingham will officiate. Burial will follow in Rural Cemetery, Hornell.
