Lillian A Grounds,92, of
56 East Main Street, passed away Wednesday (June 28, 2006) at St. James Hospital.
Born in Painted Post, July 21, 1913, the daughterof Lewis and Barbara Bauer Clark, she had resided in Hornell most of her life. Lillian had owned and operated Lillians BeautyShop in her own home for 35 years retiring in 1975, and also was involved inher husband's insurance company (Leith Insurance Company) She was predeceasedby her husband M. Leith Grounds in November of 1995, they had been marriedsince Sept. 21, 1943. Lillian was amember of the former East Avenue Methodist Church, and now a memberof the Hornell United Methodist Church.
She was alsopredeceased by her brother William Clark in1997.
She is survived bynieces, nephews and cousins.
There will be no calling hours. Burial will be at the Hornell Hope Cemetery.
Funeral arrangements entrusted to the Robertson Funeral Home354 Canisteo St. Hornell.
