Leonard S Zanghi, 82, of

23 Stephens St., passed away Thursday (March 8, 2007) at McAuley Manor.



Born in Mount Morris, April 28, 1924, a son of Josephand Maria Balavia Zanghi, he had resided in Canisteosince 1947.



Leonard served in the army during WW2.



In 1947, Leonard married the former Doris Warters who survives.

He had been employed by Sears in Hornell as a salesmanretiring in 1986.



Leonard was a member of the Canisteo American Legion ,Hornell Elks Club and Twin Hickory Golf Course.



He was predeceased by his two sisters, Mary and Loria and two brothers Phillip and Jim.



He is survived by his wife Doris, two sons: Joseph (Diana) Zanghi of Hornell, John ( Patty) Zanghi ofHornell, one sister, Josephine Sengillo of Hilton,



Three grand daughters, Kathryn Zanghi of Farmington , Angela ( Josh) Delany and AndreaZanghi both of Hornell.



One grandson, Joseph Zanghi of BozemanMontana.



6 Great Grandchildren, and many Nieces and Nephews.

The family will receive friends Sunday ( March 11, 2007)1-2PM at the Brown & Powers funeral home 6 Spruce st.Canisteo, where memorial service will fallow at the conclusion of callinghours.
