Leo John Waters, 74 of Eighth Street, passed away Friday (Oct. 11, 2024) at Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville.
Born in Jasper, March 23, 1950 he was the son of William and Sarah Lobdell Waters. He had resided all his life in this area was a graduate of Greenwood Central School. Leo had been employed at Air Preheater in Wellsville for several years.
He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army during the Viet Nam Era.
He was a member of the Whitesville and Alfred Rod and Gun Club and AMVETS.
He was predeceased by his parents, and his daughter, Cindy McKinnis and sisters, Charlotte Spicer and Marguerite Ormsby.
He is survived by his son, John Waters of Georgia, his loving companion, Diana VanAllen of Canisteo, his sisters, Beverly (William) Gleason of Lima, NY, Mary Faulkner of Florida and Donna Jean Waters of Arkport, his brothers, Jim Waters of Florida, Dale Waters of Wellsville and David (Christine) Waters of Greenwood, his grandchildren, Coby, Tyler, Quinten, Cory, Nathan, Sarah, Alexandria and Jordan.
There will be no calling hours. Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service at 11 AM on Monday October 28, 2024 at the Brown & Powers Funeral Home, 6 Spruce Street in Canisteo. Pastor Aaron Strange will officiate. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemtery.
