Leo L. Jones Jr., 84, of 12 North Street, passed away Saturday (March 31, 2012) at Rochester General Hospital.
Born in Hornell, November 3, 1927, the son of Leo L. and Helen Parsells Jones Sr,, he had resided in Canisteo the past 63 years. Leo had been employed as a highway supervisor for the Steuben County Highway Department, retiring after 30 years of service. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Canisteo, the Hornell Moose Lodge, the former Hornell Eagles Club as well as a member and Treasurer of the Canisteo Senior Citizens.
He was predeceased by his parents, his first wife, Ruth Spaeth Jones in 2002, his sisters, Josephine Galvan, Ruth Brown, and Jessie Kleiman, and his brothers, Wendell and David Jones.
He is survived by his wife, Beryl Raner Jones of Canisteo, daughters, Donna Morse of Kentucky, and Diana (Roger) Parulski of Bath, step- daughter, Brenda (John) Goldian of PA., sisters, Evelyn Carbone of Hornell and Mary (Joseph) Cotton of Almond, his brother, John (Carolee) Jones of Garwoods and Tennessee, 4 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, 2 Great GreatGrandchildren as well as several step grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Beverly Welch officiating. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, Canisteo.
