Leah Rosen
Leah Rosen was born May 25, 1913 in Sarny Poland to David and Sarah Reichman, brother Yontal and sisters Frieda, Bella and Malcha. Leah moved to Tel Aviv, Israel in 1940 to escape the atrocities she witnessed under the Nazi regime in Poland. Leah married Abraham Rosen in 1940. Their union brought about one daughter, Judith, born November 11, 1941 and one son, David, born January 27, 1951. Leah lived a difficult life while in Israel cooking for 95 people in a kibbutz. Abraham, Lee and David moved to Rochester, New York in 1962. When Lee immigrated to United States her name was changed from Leah to Lee .Lee worked for Bonds clothing factory for 18 years and retired in 1971. Lee lived in Rochester, NY, Tucson, Ari, Los Angeles, Cal., New Orleans, La., and Canisteo and Wellsville NY. Lee passed peacefully on May 15, 2013. Lee is survived by her son David (Rita) and granddaughters Elizabeth and Jaimi. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the charity of your choice. There will be a service on Saturday, June 15, 2013 at 2pm at the Howard Community Center, Howard, NY.
