LeEtta Rose Mcrae Burkhard

LeEtta Burkhard age 81, passed away peacefully on January 8, 2026 at UR St James Hospital in Hornell, NY.

She was born in Cuba, NY the daughter of Archie Mcrae and Lois Virginia Clark Mcrae, and was a lifelong area resident. Lee had worked for Ace's Country Cupboard in Belfast as a waitress and baker. She loved cats and dogs, and was a self-professed homebody. Lee enjoyed shopping and spoiling her grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her parents, her husband Robert Burkhard, several brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her sons Charles (Marya) Laraby of Angelica, Timothy (Betty) Laraby of Bridgewater, Jonathan (Deanna) Laraby of Ohio, her daughter Rebecca Myers, her siblings Gloria Villa, Sandy Hotchkiss, Katie Brockel, Michele (Joe) Cowles, Jay (Elizabeth) Hamrick, several grand and great grandchildren, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Celebration of Life will be held in the summer of this year.
