Laurielena S. Jones, "The Wal-MartPin Lady" has gone home. Laurielena, age 58, of 405 Pleasant Valley Road, passedaway Tuesday (September 11, 2007) at herhome.
Born in Rhinebeck,NY, October 21, 1948, the daughter of Jackson W.and Elizabeth Fraleigh Staley,she had resided all over the world with her parents before residing in Alfred Station the past 30 years. She wasemployed for a short time as a secretary for the Dean Thompson at SUNY Alfred,and then became employed as a cashier and floor associate at the HornellWal-Mart. She will be fondly rememberedas the "Wal- Mart Pin Lady", a name she was givenbecause of the huge array of pins she wore on her store vests.
She was predeceased by her parents.
She is survived by her husband, Eugene Jones of AlfredStation, two daughters: Aubrie-Anna Jones of Alfred Station, Kelsey Lynn Jones of Hornell, one son: Andrew "Drew" Jones of Brooklyn, 2 sisters, Melissa Halpern-Rojas of Manhatten, andBarbara (Joeff) Grigg of South Carolina, 1 brother,David (Maureen) Staley of Florida.
