Bacon Sr., 73 formerly of Hakes Avenue, passed away Sunday (July 9 2023) at the Wellsville Manor Nursing HomeBorn in Hornell, December 26, 1949, he was the son of George Frederick and Mildred Hann Bacon. He had resided his entire life in Hornell and was a graduate of Hornell High School. He had proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy.Larry was employed for several years at Gunlocke in Wayland.He was predeceased by his parents, and his brothers, Charles, William, James and Jeff.Surviving are his wife Diana, a resident of the Wellsille Manor, his daughter, Melissa (Casey Chriscaden) Bacon of Hornell, his son, Larry Bacon Jr. of Hornell, his sister, Elaine Bacon of Pennsylvania, his brothers, Roy (Debbie) Bacon, Ronnie (Wanda) Bacon, Phillip (Joan) Bacon, Richard (Donna) Bacon, his sister-in-law, Debbie Bacon, his grandchildren, Sabrina Lantz (Michael Sutton) Abigail Chriscaden and Eric Chriscaden, one great grand daughter, Renee Sutton.Family and friends are invited to attend a committal service with Military Honors at Bath National Cemetery on Wednesday (July  19, 2023) at 1 PM The family has chosen Bender-Brown & Powers Funeral Home of Hornell to assist them with funeral arrangements.
