LaRay A. Miller, , of Flanagan Rd., passed away Monday (October 15, 2012) at St James Mercy Hospital in Hornell.



Born in Troupsburg, February 12, 1940, the daughter of and Frederick and Iva (Nemire) Dibble, she had resided in Hornell most of her life. LaRay was a graduate of the Angelica Central School and worked at the former Connor's Drug Store and retired from the Office for the Ageing in Bath.



She was predeceased by her parents as well as her husband, Gates P. Miller Jr. in 2007, two sisters; Pauline Dibble and Ramona Quick.



She is survived by four sons; James L. (Kathy) Miller, Steven M. Miller, Timothy S. (Valerie) Miller and Michael J. Miller all of Hornell, three brothers; Surrogate (Evelyn) Dibble of Woodhull, Sonny Dibble of Wellsville and Richard O'Hara of SC, two sisters; Edith O'Hara of Hornell and Lois (John) Smith of S. Dansville, four grandchildren; Matthew, Trevor, Caleb and Ethan Miller, several nieces and nephews.

Honoring LaRay's wishes there will be no calling hours. Family and friends are invited to gather for a funeral service which will be held on Thursday (Oct. 18, 2012) at 1Pm at the Bender-Brown & Powers Funeral Home, 354 Canisteo St, Hornell, NY 14843. The Rev. Dudley Jenkins will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Canisteo.
