Lanty PhillipsSr. 79,of Railroad Avenue,passed away Saturday (January 15, 2005) at his home.
Born in Hillsboro, WV, December 2, 1925, the son of William and Ada Phillips, hehad resided in Angelica the past 20 years. He had been self employed as a logger andwoodworker all his life. Lanty was as an avid fisherman and will be remembered for his carpentryskills, especially his birdhouses. Hewas a US Navy veteran of WW-2 .
He was predeceased by all 17 of his siblings and his son, Richard Phillipsin 1969.
He is survived by hiswife, Christine Phillips whom he married June 7, 1947, two daughters:Linda (Robert) Peno of Sinnamahoning, PA,Barbara (Steve) Speta of Petersburg, VA,one son: Lanty Phillips JR. of Austin, PA., 6 grandchildren, 2 greatgrandchildren, several nieces & nephews.
