Canisteo

Lannie D. Dennis, 69, a resident of South Canisteo, passed away Sunday (Feb. 1, 2026) at St. James Hospital. He was born in Hornell on May 15, 1956, and had resided in the Canisteo area all his life.

Lannie had been a self employed truck driver for several years, and had worked for Roy Track Railroad for many years.

Surviving are his mother, Audrey Dixon of Cameron, 2 sons, Roy Dennis and Brian (Myra Woodworth) Dennis both of Canisteo, his sister, Jolene (Chad) Woodworth of Cameron, 2 brothers, David (Sarah Vogt) Dixon of Hornell and Rodney (Melody Shaffer) Dixon of Cameron, 2 grandchildren, Brandlee Dennis and Brent Dennis, several nieces, nephews and his long time friend James Vanskiver of South Canisteo .

There will be no calling hours. Family and friends are invited to attend a graveside service at Hillside Cemetery in Canisteo on Thursday (Feb. 5, 2025) at 1 PM.
