Loper, 81, formerly of Bennett Parkway, passed away Monday (Aug. 14, 2023) at the Steuben Centers in Bath.Born in Hornell, December 9, 1941, he was the son of Harold and Thelma Young Loper Sr. He had resided in the Hornell- Canisteo area all his life.Ken had been employed for several years in the maintenance and re stocking department at the former J.C. Penney’s Store in Hornell. He was an avid bowler, and most of all he enjoyed his weekends and trips with his niece Sue Ann Whitehead and her family. He was predeceased by his parents, his sister, Mary Lantz and his brother, Harold Loper Jr.Surviving are his brother, Robert (Doris) Loper of Texas and several nieces and nephews.There will be no calling hours. A Celebration Of Life will be held at a time in the future.Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Bender-Brown & Powers Funeral Home of Hornell.
