Kay Butler, 60, of Victory Drive, passed away Friday (June 7, 2019) at Arnot Ogden Medical Center in Elmira.
Born in Hornell, May 20, 1959, the daughter of Lynn and Frances Fox Vanderhoef, she had resided in Greenwood, Canaseraga and Bath areas most of her life.
Kay was a graduate of Canisteo Central School in the class of 1977. She had been employed in health care at several different facilities, including the former McAuley Manor in North Hornell.
She was predeceased by her parents, her husband Victor Butler, her daughter; Mary Elizabeth Vanderhoef, her sister; Judy Puderbaugh, her brothers; Edwin, William, Robert, Lynn Jr. James and Gary Vanderhoef as well as her granddaughter, Celia Joy Decker.
She is survived by her companion of 17 years, Jim Manry of Bath, her daughter; Billie Jo. Butler of Canisteo, her sister; Frances Ann Lunsford of Pennsylvania, her brothers; Larry (Idamay) Vanderhoef of Hornell and Royce (Mary Nilson) Vanderhoef of Canisteo, sisters-in-law; Barbara, Vivian, Michele, and Wilda Vanderhoef , one grandchild; Zyler Decker, and aunt & uncle; Paul and Mary Fox of Arizona.
