Kathryn H Berrey 94 of 1190 CountyRte 66 passed away Thursday at the Steuben County Health Care Related Facility.
Born in Hornell, April 13, 1913 the daughter of George and Villa Tomlinson HerrNeckar, she had graduated Hornell High School,and then attended the Hornell Business School.Kathryn married Harold Ward Berrey in 1935, whopredeceased her on July 2,1996. A lifelong area resident she attended the Buena VistaWesleyan Church of Canisteo, was a member of the former OES of Howard # 575,the Hornell Moose Lodge #640, had taught 4-H to many, was a leader of the Home Bureau, and retiredfrom Sears in 1976. Kathryn enjoyed crafts, crocheting, knitting, and sewing,but most of all her great passion was her family.
She was predeceased by her husband, 4 sisters, and 5brothers.
She is survived by 2 daughters Lynda (Howard) Bates ofArkport, Georgia Saxton of Wayland, a son Harold Eugene "Gene" Berrey of Hornell, 3 grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren, 3great grandchildren, a 1 great great grandchild, andher companion William "Woody" Woodworth of Hornell.
The family will be present Monday from 10am-12noon at the Robertson Funeral Home 354 Canisteo St. Hornell, wherefuneral services will be held at 12noon with the Rev. Dan Pickering officiating. Burial will be at Hornell Rural Cemetery.
