Karen F. Mullen, 60, of
4212 State Route 248, Bennetts Creek Road,passed away Saturday (December 9, 2006) at St. James Hospital.
Born in Hornell, June 29, 1946, the daughter of Calvin and Roberta Lyke Nichelson, she had residedin Howard her early life, and moved to the Bennett's
Creek Road following her marriage in1964. She was a graduate of Avoca Central School andwas a member of the Bennett's Creek Bible Church,where she had played the piano forseveral years.
She had been employed as a surgical unit secretary at St JamesMercy Hospital and later by the Steuben County Public Health Service.
She is survived by her husband, Keith Mullen whom shemarried in June 1964, one daughter, Kim (David) Joy of Maine, two sons: Kevin (Julie) Mullen and Keith( Melissa) Mullen II both of Canisteo, 2brothers, Charles (Niki) Nichelsonof Howard, and Frank Nichelson of Elmira, 11grandchildren, nieces & nephews.
The family will be presentto receive friends from 2-4 & 6-8 PM Monday at the Brown &Powers Funeral Home, 6 Spruce St., Canisteo where funeral services will be heldfollowing calling hours at 8:00 PM. Rev.Donald Maynard will officiate. Burial will be in Bennett's Creek Cemetery.
