Judy L. Palmer, 50, of 4259 Gile Hollow Road went to be with the Lord onFriday (September 18, 2009) following a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Hornell, August 27, 1959, the daughter of Robert and Dorothy Kring Zeltwanger, she had resided her early life in Canisteo and was a graduate of Canisteo Central School and the Olean Business Institute. She had been employed as an account clerk typist for Cattaragus County. She moved to Allegany in 1979 and had resided in Hinsdale since 1995. Judy had been affiliated with the Canisteo Wesleyan Church and will be remembered mostly for her love of family. She enjoyed working in her greenhouse and collecting teddy bears.
She was predeceased by her parents and one nephew, J.J. Cleveland.
She is survived by her husband, Doug Palmer whom she married June 2, 1979, 2 brothers, Steve (Debbie) Zeltwanger and Bill (Ann) Zeltwanger both of Hartsville, 2 sisters-in-law, Linda (Joe) Cleveland of Hornell and Ruth (Ed) Stafford of Addison, nieces and nephews; Ashley, Lisa, Kurt and Staci Zeltwanger, Colleen (Tom) McDaniels, Brian and Brandon Stafford.
The family will be present to receive friends on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Brown & Powers Funeral Home, 6 Spruce St., Canisteo where funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 AM with Rev.
