Mrs. Joyce Ann (Bates) Dunn, age 83 of Hornell, passed away June 21, 2015, at Meadows Regional Medical Center in Vadalia, GA where she had resided with family for the past 2 years.
A loving mother of 7 she was a seamstress all her life working out of her home. In her younger years she was an avid archer. She also enjoyed bowling, hunting and fishing with her husband. Most recent years she was a big Yankees fan. She was a member of the Woman of the Moose in Hornell and a member of the First Baptist Church of Vadalia, and a former member of the First Baptist Church of Hornell.
She was preceded in death by her husband Eugene "Red" Dunn in 1994, parents Linford and Mary Ernestine (Waldorf) Bates; and 3 siblings.
Mrs. Dunn is survived by seven children, Sharon (David) Robertson of Vadalia GA., Susan (Tom) Morgan of Altoona PA., Patricia (James) Walsh of North Pole, AK., Constance Dunn of Vadalia GA., Elizabeth (William) Barnes of Canisteo, and Eugene (Robyn) Dunn of Arkport, and Thomas (Judy) Dunn of Hornell, 19 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, including a nephew Jack (Roxanne) Halsey of Hartsville.
