Joyce P. Healey, 83, a resident of the Hornell Gardens, passed away peacefully, Saturday (December 30, 2017) at the Hornell Gardens.
Born in Hornell, June 23, 1934, the daughter of Donald and Marion (Horton) Philbrick, she was a lifelong area resident, graduating from Hornell High School. Joyce worked as an Administrative Assistant at St. James Mercy Hospital, and later at Mercy Care, before her retirement in 1998. She was a member of the former Spencer Methodist Church, and a member of the First Baptist Church of Hornell, where she participated in the choirs. Joyce was artistic, she enjoyed crocheting, needle point, and playing the piano.
She was predeceased by her parents.
She is survived by her daughter Kiera Carlson of Williamson, 2 sons Kevin (Debra) Healey of Hornell, Chris Healey of Norwalk, CT, her grandchildren Grace Healey, Reilly Carlson, Avery Carlson, 2 sisters Jean (Sid) Parks of Hornell, Marilyn (George) Andrews of Hornell, her brother Kenneth (Mary Lou) Philbrick of Arkport, and nieces, and nephews.
The family will be present 1-3 PM Friday, January 5, 2018, at the Bender - Brown & Powers Funeral Home, 354 Canisteo Street in Hornell, where funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM, with Rev. Craig Brittingham officiating. Burial will be in Rural Cemetery in Hornell.
