Joyce E. Hamlin, 78, of Hornell, passed away Wednesday (May 14, 2008) at St. James Hospital in Hornell.
Born in Hornell, October 25, 1929, the daughter of Harry and Belva (Porter) Waufle, she hadresided in Hornell most of her life before moving to Florida. She was a graduate of Hornell High School and enjoyed her family,grandchildren, music and racing. She was a member of the Hornell MooseLodge.
She was predeceased by her parents as well as four brothers:Donald, Karl, H. Duane and Harold Waufle.
She is survived by one sister: Marion Flannery of Fl., ninechildren; Rick Hamlin of Cameron, Gary (Toni) Hamlin of Canaseraga,David Hamlin of Wellsville, Kathy (Mike) Klingle ofFl, Michelle (Mark) Travis of Hornell, Marcia (William Cunningham) Briggs of Greenwood,Craig (Angie Hughes) Spencer of Hornell, Scott Spencer of Prattville Al andShawn (Debby) Spencer of Avoca, twenty two grandchildren and seven greatgrandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
The family will be present to receive friends from 11AM-1PM Saturday (May 17, 2008), at the Bender- Brown & Powers Funeral Home,
354Canisteo St, Hornell, where funeral services willfollow calling hours at 1PM.Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Canisteo.
