Joleene M. Palmer, 39, of Cunningham Creek Rd., passed away Sunday (December 11, 2016) at Geisinger Medical Center , in Danville, Pa.



Born in Hornell, February 12, 1977, she was the daughter of Kenneth and Paula (Ordiway) Smith. Joleene was a graduate of Hornell High School class of 1996. On June 16, 2007 she married Alan Palmer III. Joleene had a love for interior decorating, landscaping, playing pool, and the holidays. Most of all Joleene loved to spend time with her children and husband. She had a love for life like no other; she was the happiest when making other people laugh. Joleene had a beautiful smile. She was a member of the Hornell Moose Lodge and the Hornell AMVETS.



She was predeceased by an infant son; Zacharia Smith, her maternal grandparents and her paternal grandmother.



She is survived by her husband; Alan Palmer of Canisteo, 1 son; Seth Palmer of Canisteo, 2 daughters; Kayla Slaght and Keyana Palmer both of Canisteo, her parents; Kenneth and Paula Smith of Hornell, 3 brothers; Shane (Casey) Smith of Arkport, Randy (Andrea) Smith of Hornell and Michael (Valerie) Smith of Hornell, paternal grandfather; John Smith of Hornell, her mother-in-law Brenda (John) Foster of Hornell, father-in-law Alan Palmer Jr. of Hornell, as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

The family will be present on Thursday (Dec. 15, 2016) from 3-7PM, at the Bender - Brown & Powers Funeral Home, 354 Canisteo St, Hornell and again on Friday (Dec. 16, 2016) from 11AM-1PM with a funeral service being held immediately following calling hours at 1PM with Rev Dudley Jenkins officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Canisteo.
