John S. Terry, 89, of 12 Golden Acres Drive, passed away Wednesday (October 9, 2013) at Jones Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Conway, North Dakota, February 18, 1924, the son of Herbert F. and Kate (Hazelwood) Terry. John was in the US Army during World War II, and later retired from Circus-Circus in Reno, Nevada. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and reading westerns.
He was predeceased by his parents, 3 brothers and 2 sisters.
He is survived by his wife Margaret "Marge" (Olejniczak) Terry whom he married in 1990, two sons James (Jana) Terry, and Michael Terry of CA, a daughter Patricia (Ton)Vanwiyk of the Caribbean, a grandson John, and a granddaughter Grace, as well as several nieces and nephews.
The family will be present 2-4 & 7-9 PM Sunday, October 13, 2013, at the Brown & Powers Funeral Home, 101 West Avenue, Angelica, where funeral services will be held on Monday, at 11:00 AM, with the Rev. David Ford officiating. Burial will be in Until the Day Dawn Cemetery, Angelica.
