John William Ross Jr., a resident of Charlie Drive, passed away Thursday (Nov. 13, 2025.

John was born in Jackson, Tennessee on February 1, 1980, the son of John W. Ross Sr., and Nancy Hansen Ross. John had proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy from 1999-2003. He served on the USS Enterprise in Norfolk, Virginia,

Most recently, John was employed as a heavy equipment operator for the Town of Howard Highway Department.

John was predeceased by his mother, Nancy Ross, as well as his Maternal grandparents, Arthur and Ann Hansen and Paternal grandparents, Frank and Patricia Ross.

Surviving is his father, John W. Ross Sr. of Canisteo, his sons, John W. Ross III of Arkport, Brandon Ross, Luke Ross, Jacob Ross and Kody Ross all of Canisteo, his sister, Traci Ross of Texas, his brothers, Travis W. (Maria) Ross of Batavia, Jeromy W. (Kara) Ross of Canisteo and Arron W. Ross of Canisteo.

There will be no calling hours or services. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery in Canisteo.
