John N. "Jack" Quigley,76, of
353 Ontario Street,passed away Thursday (February 22, 2007) at hishome.
Born in Salamanca, April 25, 1930, the son of Andrew and Pauline Elsen Quigley, hehad resided in Salamancauntil moving to Hornell in 1968. He attended Salamanca High Schooland was employed as a conductor for theformer Erie Railroad, Erie Lakawanna Railroad and forConrail prior to his retirement. Jack served his country as a member of the UnitedStates Army from 1951 until 1953. He was a member of the Hornell Association,the Hornell Moose Lodge, the Hornell American Legion and the Hornell VFW.
He was predeceased by his wife, Norma RosellQuigley, his daughter, Debra Quigley, his sister, Anne Stowelland 3 brothers, Robert, Patrick and Michael Quigley.
He is survived by three daughters: Brenda (Jeff) Abrahams of Bradford, PA., Mickey Roe, of Hornell, Denise (Carl) MacNaughton ofArkport, three sons: James (Beverly) Quigley and David Quigley both of Bradford, PA., Mike Acker of Florida, two sisters: Mary (Matt) Colomaio ofHornell, Frances Crouch ofAllegany, two brothers: William(Beverly) Quigley and Lawrence Quigley both of Salamanca,sister-in-law, Louise Waite of Salamanca, his special friend, Walter Clevelandof Hornell, several grand and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
The family will be present to receive friends from2-4& 6-8pm Monday at the Bender - Brown & Powers FuneralHome, 354 Canisteo St, Hornell where memorial services will follow calling hours at 8 PM. Deacon RobertMcCormick will officiate. Burial willbe in Hornell Rural Cemetery.
