In Loving Memory of John R. Clouse

March 12, 1949 - October 25, 2026

John R. Clouse, 77, of 84 East Main Street, Angelica, New York 14709, passed away peacefully in his sleep on October 25, 2026. He will be remembered for his years of dedicated public service, his love of adventure, and the life he shared with his beloved wife, Corrine.

Born on March 12, 1949, John was the son of William and Lois Clouse. He dedicated years of service to his community as an Allegany County Sheriff's deputy before retiring. He also served as a building codes enforcement officer for surrounding communities, helping uphold safety standards and serving the residents of the areas he called home.

Outside of his professional life, John was an avid outdoor enthusiast with a true passion for aviation and anything that involved adrenaline. He loved adventure and embraced opportunities to experience life to the fullest. Whether enjoying the outdoors or pursuing his interest in aviation, John was drawn to the thrill of adventure and the freedom of the open skies.

John is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Corrine Clouse; Christina (Clouse) Fahy, Thomas Fahy, Luke, Trevor, and Tommy; Marsha Windus, Craig Windus, Noah Windus, Evan Windus, and Haley (Bailey) Windus. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren, who carry forward the love and legacy of family.

John will be remembered for his dedication to public service, his adventurous spirit, his love of the outdoors, and his enthusiasm for life. The memories he created with his wife, family, and those whose lives he touched will remain a lasting part of his legacy.

John lived life with a spirit of adventure and a love for the things that made him feel most alive. May he now find eternal peace and freedom among the skies he loved so dearly.

May he rest in peace and forever soar among the clouds.

The family will be present on Sunday (November 1, 2026) from 1-3pm at the Brown & Powers Funeral Home in Angelica, with a Celebration of Life at 3:00pm following calling hours.
