John Joseph "J.J." Cleveland,29, of
110 Crosby Street,passed away Tuesday (February 24, 2004) at Strong Memorial Hospitalin Rochester.
Born in Hornell, December 29, 1974, the son of Joseph andLinda Palmer Cleveland, he had resided in Hornell all his life. J.J.had attended St Anns School and was agraduate of Hornell Senior High School classof 1994. He had received his AssociatesDegree from the State University of New Yorkat Alfred in 1998, and would have completed studies for his BA Degreeat Alfred in May of this year. He was currently serving his internship atAlfred University in Computer Data Processing and Web Paging. He was currently employed by the LancasterBingo Corporation .
J.J. was acommunicant of St. Ignatius Loyola Church inHornell; a member of Hornellsville Lodge #44, F& AM, and held the chair ofSteward at the time of his death; was a member and Past Noble Grand of IOOFLodge #251 of Hornell; a member of Rebekah Lodge #105 of Hornell, The AmericanWar Dads, and a member and Truck Captainof Engine 96 at the South Hornell Fire Department. He will be remembered as an avid hunter andfisherman, and mostly for his love of computers.
He is survived by hisparents, Joseph and Linda Cleveland of Hornell

A Masonic memorial Service will beheld at the funeral home on Friday at 8:30PM followed by an IOOF Lodge Memorial Service at 8:45 PM.Friends are invited to meet the family at St. Ignatius Loyola Church onSaturday at 11:00AM toattend J.J's Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will be in Hornell Rural Cemetery.
