John C "JC". Calcaterra, 53, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday (June 18, 2017) .
JC had resided much of his early life in West Islip, Long Island and was employed as an iron worker for Local Union #580. He was a loving, loyal and caring husband, son, brother and uncle. He had a great sense of humor and loved all sports, reading and spending time with his wife. Anyone that knew him, loved him, enjoyed his sense of humor and his company. He will be greatly missed.
He was predeceased by his parents.
He is survived by wife; Joan Stuart Calcaterra, of Hornell, who was blessed to have been with him for the past 19 years, his sister; Nancy (Bill) Hawley of Florida, his nephew; Chris Hawley of Florida as well as three step-sons, and five step grandchildren.
