Joel David Wood, 43, of State Rt. 21, passed away unexpectedly Sunday (January 27, 2013) at his home.
Born in Hornell, May 31, 1969, the son of Harold Wood and Corrinne (Seeley) Miller, he had resided all his life in the Hornell area. Joel had worked for Dunkirk Ice Cream and loved his dogs and cats as well as an avid walker.
He was predeceased by his father, Harold in 1985, two brothers; Eric Wood in 1980 and Wayne "Danny" Wood in 1996.
He is survived by his mother; Corrinne Miller of Arkport, three brothers; Hal Wood of Middlesex, Craig Wood of Elmira and Shane Wood of Rochester, an Uncle, several Aunts, Cousins, nieces and nephews.

Honoring Joel's wishes there will be no calling hours. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Bender-Brown & Powers Funeral Home of Hornell.
