Jerry L. Gardiner, 75, of

36 Quaker Meeting House Road, formerly ofCanisteo, passed away Wednesday (June 4, 2008) at his home.



Born in Canisteo, September 23, 1932, the sonof Luman and Frances Gardiner, he hadresided his early life in Canisteo and was a graduate of Canisteo Central School. Jerry had served his country as a member of theUnited States Navy during the Korean Conflict and had resided several years in Monroe County. He had been employed in sales for Sears in Rochester and was a member of the Canisteo American LegionPost.



He was predeceased by his parents and sister, DorothyGoodwin.



He will be forever missed by Carol Rogers, his daughters,Cindy (Don) Marcotte of Bedford, Karen Pomroy of AZ., and Judy Wittig ofVictor, his grandson Christopher Wittig, nephews, Robert (Linda) Goodwin andMilton Goodwin, Brother-in-law, Larry (Linda) Stephens.

The family will be present to receive friends from1-3 & 6-8PM Friday, at the Brown & Powers Funeral Home,

6 Spruce St., Canisteowhere funeral services will be held on Saturdayat 11:00 AM. Burial with Military Honors will be in Hillside Cemetery,Canisteo.
