Jennifer E. Buxton, 39, of Grand St., passed away Wednesday (January 16, 2013) after injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident in the Town of Big Flats.
Born in Hornell, May 25, 1973, the daughter of William L. Schwartz and Anna Marie (Murray) Schwartz, she had resided in numerous places throughout her life. Jennifer was a graduate of the former Canisteo Central School Class of 1991 and served in the United States Army as a medic for 8 years. She worked as a nurse for Doctors Hospital in Washington DC as well as for the Guthrie Health System. Jennifer was a member of Our Lady of the Valley Parish and a communicant of St. Ann's Church. She was also a member of the Ivanhoe Chapter #160 Order of the Eastern Star and loved attending her daughters sporting events. Jennifer will be remembered for being a very outgoing person with a great sense of humor.
She is survived by her Mother; Anna Marie Schwartz of Hornell, father; William Schwartz of Greenwood; two daughters; Brianna and Kiara Buxton, both of Hornell, one sister; Stephanie Schwartz of Hornell, one brother; Mark (Chris Moore) Schwartz of Penn Yan, niece LeeAnn Schwartz and nephew Bryce Jennings, as well as many children she called her own.

The family will be present to receive friends on Sunday (Jan. 20, 2012) from 2-4Pm and from 7-9Pm at the Bender - Brown & Powers Funeral Home, 354 Canisteo St, Hornell. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday at 11Am at St. Ann's Church. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
