Jeanne R. Schwartz

Jeanne R. Schwartz 96 passed away Wednesday April 30, 2025 at the Hart House in Wellsville. Born in Hornell she was the daughter of Edward and Evelyn Kame. She lived in Almond all of her life. A graduate of Alfred Almond Central School, where she was a cheerleader and met her husband Fred who was a basketball star. They were married for 75 years and had 2 daughters. In her younger years she liked to bowl. She worked for J.C Penney’s in Hornell for years. She was a member of the Almond Community Church. She loved her grandchildren and attended all their sporting events. She lost her daughter Susan May 19. 2023 and her husband Fred on April 27, 2024. Surviving is her loving family, daughter Christine (Larry) Drumm, son in-law Ron Lockwood, 4 grandchildren Julie Barrett, Jason (Meredith) Lockwood, Jaimee ( Darcy) MacDougald, Justine (Marco) Lockwood. 3 great grandchildren, Solara Rosas, Lyla and Weston Lockwood.
The family will receive friends on Monday (May 5,2025) from 2 PM until 4 PM at the Bender-Brown & Powers Funeral Home, 354 Canisteo Street in Hornell. A service will follow with Reverend Scott Dumond officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Almond.
