Jean I. Houghtaling,71, of

3593 County Route 119, passed away Saturday (March 6, 2004) at Strong Memorial Hospitalin Rochester.



Born in Hornell, November 17, 1932, the daughter of Lymanand Lena VanSkiver Hovey, she had resided in the Canisteo and Greenwood areas all herlife, the past 32 years in Adrian.



Jean had attended the Adrian Baptist Church and was an avidmember of the Greenwood Rod & Gun Club.



She was predeceased byher parents and one son, Michael Houghtalingas well as one brother Elmer Hovey.



She is survivedby 1 daughter- Robin (Jack) Loper ofCanisteo

The family will be present to receive friends from 5 until 7 PM Tuesday at the Brown& Powers Funeral Home,

6 Spruce St., Canisteo whereFuneral services will be held following calling hours at 7 PM with Rev. John Karle officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
