Jay E. Plaisted, 53, of 9 Apple Street, passed away Friday evening (July 31, 2009) at his home.
Born in Indianapolis, IN., June 12, 1956, the son of Richard and Dawn Johnson Plaisted, he had resided in Arkport the past 15 years. He had attended Whitesville Central School, and enjoyed attending the Adult Day Care at McAuley Manor. Jay was a football enthusiast, especially for the Buffalo Bills, enjoyed NASCAR, and loved cats. P
He was predeceased by his parents , 2 sisters, Debbie and April Allen, and his mother-in-law, Norma Kromer.
He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Kromer Plaisted of Arkport, his father-in-law, Ronald (Hazel), Kromer of Arkport, sisters-in-law, Deborah (Ralph) Perry of Arkport, Carolyn Avery of Cohocton, Shelly Bailor of Florida, brother-in-law, Arthur Kromer of Arkport, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

The family will be present to receive friends from 12PM-2PM Wednesday at the Bender - Brown & Powers Funeral Home, 354 Canisteo St, Hornell. Funeral services will follow calling at 2PM with Rev. Daniel Jackson officiating. Burial will be in Arkport Cemetery.
