Jason S. Leiter, 36, of 82 Washington Street, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday (September 15, 2009) at his home.
Born in Batavia, April 8, 1973, the son of Carl and Juanita Smith Leiter, he had resided in Hornell since 1988. He was a graduate of Hornell High School, Class of 1992, and had been employed at Davidson's Furniture Store in Hornell, before becoming a route salesman for Schwan Company working out of the Dansville office. He was a member of the Hornell Association.
He was predeceased by his father, Carl in 2003.
He is survived by his wife, Lee Ann Krisher Leiter of Hornell, his children, Nicole Leiter, Elizabeth Allende-Krisher, Stephanie Allende-Krisher, Taylor Myers, Jayson Robert Myers and Jason Roy all of Hornell, his mother, Juanita Leiter of Hornell and his brother, Kevin (Emily) Leiter of Canisteo, his mother and father-in-law, Jim and Darlene Krisher of Tyrone, nieces, aunts , uncles ,cousins, and especially his many trusted Schwan customers.
The family will be present to receive friends from 4PM to 8 PM Friday at the Bender - Brown & Powers Funeral Home, 354 Canisteo St, Hornell. Funeral services will be held at the Canisteo Valley Assembly Of God Church on Saturday at 11:00 AM with Rev. Matthew Sassano officiating. Burial will be in St Mary's Cemetery Town of Fremont.
